Plethora' of photos/ Eau Claire Family Photographer
Most of the time clients have a location in mind when they call me for a session. I was beyond thrilled when Julie was just about up for anything. "How about Los Poblanos?" was my suggestion. I've photographed my own children there, and always thought it would be such a perfect setting for family portraits. She'd never heard of the place. I encouraged her to take a drive in the North Valley along Rio Grande blvd. and check it out. This place is very picturesque with acres of lavender fields, private gardens, fountains, ponds, and a tree tunnel driveway that leads up to the historic hacienda . Sounds wonderful doesn't it? The kids loved picking the flowers (weeds), pointing out bugs and splashing their hands about in the fountains and running!

Meet 4 yo "K". When she's not tethered to her mom or dad, her favorite activity is sticking her tongue out, skipping AND running! Just check out that mischievous look on her face as she's running away from me and my camera.
I did manage to catch her! She sooooo has her Mama to thank for her gorgeous eyes.

And then there's this quiet little guy. I'm sure Spencer and Julie are just chuckling that I said quiet, BUT, their sweet 2yo "R" seems very reserved, very observant as he takes it all in. Did I mention I could just eat those chubby hands and cheeks of his?

As the kids were swishing their hands in the fountain we got to talking about the water fountains at the new Uptown plaza. My children loved that place as do theirs'. Being that I'm so spur of the moment...we ended our session at Los Poblanos and headed to the fountains at Uptown! This segment alone makes me want my own family photos taken here!

Such a lovely family you both have!
~K
